Still waiting for your marketing campaign to take off? Opening up your wallet and finding cobwebs inside it? Perhaps it’s time to run through this checklist and see if you’ve been neglecting anything.
Create consumer awareness
Actively cultivate a reputation for yourself. Work towards making both your business and your current product being marketed into known quantities. Nobody spends money without reason, except billionaire tycoons who light cigars with hundred dollar bills. And even they have their limits. Give people a reason to become customers. Without the awareness, there are no consumers.
Basically, what we’re doing right now. Every sale begins online these days, and many of them end online too. Web presence is essential. And don’t make a website that looks like a Geocities page from 1997. Services like Weebly let you design clean and effective sites without any prior coding experience.
Social Media Optimization
We’ve covered social media marketing extensively. See here. Any business that wants to be competitive online needs to be integrated on a variety of social media platforms – at the very least, Facebook and Twitter.
Going viral is easier said than done, but it’s what every marketing campaign should aspire to. Generate content that is easily shareable – YouTube videos, infographics, etc. – and you’ll have a much better shot at it.
Word of Mouth
People click a lot of links online. Sometimes they just give a page a cursory glance before closing out the window and moving on to the next link. Genuinely memorable content, however, will migrate offline. In marketing, when people start talking about you, you know you’ve done something right.
Easy access for purchases
Everything has been leading up to this! After all the work you’ve put into making people want to buy your product – make sure they can actually do it. A sale isn’t a sale until money changes hands. Drumming up interest is great, but interest is wasted on a product that is impossible to purchase. That’s what the big orange buttons on our website are for. Make it as simple as it ought to be.
