SYNOPSIS: The Emmy-nominated feature length documentary Brave Miss World follows former Miss World Linor Abargil, the victim of a violent stabbing and rape, in her fight to convict her attacker. Linor speaks out about rape from the townships of South Africa, to universities in the U.S., where campus culture turns a deaf ear to reports of rape. When the serial rapist comes up for parole, her stability is shattered, and she hunts down his previous victims to convince the parole board to keep him behind bars. Ultimately, Linor's refusal to be silenced triumphs in her journey from teenage rape survivor to Miss World to empowered lawyer. |
